C&S has an immediate opening for a full-time Production Supervisor in Jefferson City.

Hours/salary for Production Supervisor: 2nd shift (Monday-Thursday 4:30 p.m.-3 a.m.) with possible overtime; salary is commensurate with experience

Responsibilities for Production Supervisor:

• direct production employees and ensure the manufacture of product within established delivery, quality, safety and cost standards
• implement Continuous Improvement, 5S and Value Stream Mapping and direct departmental continuous improvement plans and activities
• establish a positive employee environment regarding communications, feedback and overall guidance
• ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools for doing their job
• monitor Standard Work Instructions (SWI), Process Control Verification cards, troubleshoot workmanship problems and generally oversee production activities
• administer employee procedures and work rules
• determine manufacturing and distribution priorities based on the production schedule and make daily assignments including filling vacancies and assigning overtime to follow master schedule
• assist in the planning for maintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize the uptime and use of capital equipment assets
• implement and monitor safety programs and housekeeping

Requirements for Production Supervisor:

• associate’s degree in a technical field is required
• at least 3 years of manufacturing supervisory experience
• knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
• familiarity with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
• understanding of logistics and factory material flow
